Mocha Moms serves as an advocate for stay-at-home mothers of color and encourages the spirit of community activism within its membership.  Mocha Moms welcomes people of all religions, races, educational backgrounds and income levels.  (See Anti-Discrimination Information below.)  Anyone who supports the mission of Mocha Moms is welcome to join.

Our activities are consistent with our goal of supporting other stay-at-home mothers of color and the community we live in:

• Bi-Monthly Mothers' Support Meetings
  The purpose of this time is to connect with one another while our children play.  Mothers' Support Meetings can take place in church halls, community centers, playgrounds, members' homes.  During the school year, our meetings are held on the 2nd and 4th Tuesdays from 10-11:30am.
• Monthly Moms-Only Gatherings
  Our monthly moms-only gatherings are held every 3rd Saturday evening.  They provide an opportunity to talk, connect, pamper ourselves, and just have fun.  
• Community Service
  We endeavor to make a difference in our community by participating in local projects and supporting like-minded groups.
• Field Trips
  In addition to our Mothers' Support Meetings, we schedule field trips.  These field trips may include attending live performances, strawberry picking, pumpkin picking, and much more.  Field trips are also an opportunity for our entire families to participate and interact and prove to be a rich experience for all.
• NEW!!  Home Alone Network
  Specifically formed for moms with school-aged children, this group will meet for breakfasts, book clubs, etc.  Network membership is in addition to, not in lieu of, our regular activities.
• NEW!!  Homeschooling Network
  This network provides support for those who have chosen to homeschool their children.
• Couples Only Gatherings                                                             These events are along the same lines as our moms only gatherings. They are a great ways to socialize with other couples.
• Dad's Only Gatherings
• These events are along the same lines as our moms only gatherings.  They help our Mocha Dads to get to know each other on a more one-on-one level and "Man" environment.
• Book Club                                                                                                                           We meet every other month to discuss a new book.
